Most Experienced Vein Specialist in Atlanta.
Chad Aleman, MD, RPVI, RVT
Dr. Chad Aleman is a board-certified physician who began his practice as a full-time vein specialist in January of 2008. He is passionate about his mission to improve the lives of those with symptomatic varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency. With 17 years of experience as a vein specialist in the Atlanta area, Dr. Aleman has performed literally tens of thousands of modern, minimally-invasive vein treatments. The treatments are all performed in the office with minimal discomfort or downtime. The importance of clinical expertise obtained by those years of experience and focus on vein disease cannot be overstated.
In 2009, Dr. Aleman was in the second class of vein doctors to pass a rigorous exam to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine. This is a select group that has proven their dedication and competence in the field of venous and lymphatic medicine. A big believer in lifelong learning, Dr. Aleman has continued to obtain knowledge and skills that improve his treatment of varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Dr. Aleman frequently attends and lectures at many national meetings to other vein specialists.
Dr. Aleman earned additional ultrasound certifications from the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement (APCA) and the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), the most stringent credentialing bodies for ultrasound quality in the United States. He maintains both Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) and the Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) certifications. These are optional certifications that Dr. Aleman chose to pursue so that he could master the skills required in ultrasound to optimally care for his patients with vein disease.
Prior to opening his own practice, Dr. Aleman provided treatment for vein disease in Kennesaw and Marietta as part of Vein Clinics of America. In addition to running his own busy vein center, he served as Regional Medical Director and oversaw their vein clinics in Atlanta, Brookhaven, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, and multiple vein clinics in North Carolina. For several years in this role, he provided training and clinical supervision over a team of seven other vein doctors along with several physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and vascular ultrasound technologists.
A native of New Orleans, Dr. Aleman earned his undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University and his medical degree at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans. He is a member of the American Vein & Lymphatic Society, the Medical Association of Atlanta, and the Medical Association of Georgia.
Dr. Aleman resides in Sandy Springs with his wife, Dr. Jennifer Shih, twin daughters, and the family dog. Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, going to the gym, boating, cooking, college football, and trying to make people laugh.
